Dr. Jacqueline has over 30 years of experience as an educator and Executive Director. Her work with school-community partnerships has led to dramatic improvements in some of Southern California’s most challenged schools. She is a national speaker and author of The Why Not Challenge: Say “Yes” to School and Community Partnerships. Jacqueline provides professional learning workshops to educators and leaders about building school-community partnerships, educational equity, social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practices, and restorative practices. She is a board member for The Goldie Hawn Foundation, MindUp and Steering Committee member for SEL4CA (Social Emotional Learning Alliance for California).
Dr. Jackie’s passion for community partnerships has led to over 350 community partners who invested in schools and communities in need! Her work has led to educators and CEO’s around the country clamoring to incorporate her model into their schools and organizations. She has earned a B.A. Degree in Communications/Public Relations, M.A. Degree in Special Education, both from Cal State University Dominguez Hills and Ed.D. in Education, Leadership, Administration, and Policy from Pepperdine University. She continued her education and graduated from the ACSA Superintendents' Academy and the Principals' Center at Harvard University. Her efforts landed her as a guest on the Ellen Show and she became the consulting producer of the NBC reality show, School Pride helping schools around the country and empowering leaders .
